Expeditions and Available Stories

From Australia to Zanzibar, over the last 12 years, Karen Berger has traveled through some of the world's most spectacular, remote, and rugged places. She has trekked 17,000 miles on 6 continents, worn out more than a dozen pairs of hiking boots, completed hiking's so-called "triple crown" (thru-hikes of the Appalachian, Pacific Crest, and Continental Divide national scenic trails), and collected memories, stories, and photos to last a lifetime. In her books, magazine articles, slide shows, classes, Internet writing, and on this web-site, she shares her experiences and knowledge about the outdoor world.
