More Good Outdoor Reading

Outdoor books. Some of them tell us how to do it, some of them tell us where. And some give us the "why" -- the dream, the feeling, the connection between our individual selves and the wild places we cherish. And then there are the unforgetaable "why nots": the tales of calamities and courage, of danger and disasters ranging from humorous to tragic -- the stories that make our bodies feel snug in our beds while our minds wander the globe.

This page (note: still under construction) is dedicated to the readers amnong us. And the writers who keep us inspired.

It'll be an eclectic list and it'll grow -- so please check back here often. I'll include good how-to outdoors books, adventure travelogues, classics about the outdoors and the environment, and just plain old good reads.
